13. Neurotransmitter imbalance
For around ten years we have observed disorders caused by the distribution and reception of neurotransmitters. First, we became aware of neuroscience data to understand vision. This current, evolving scientific approach aims to compare it with our family reality, 24 hours a day.
Many AS people have metabolic systems that are cyclically out of balance: the thyroid, immune system, digestive system and neuronal system. Hormone levels are in constant disarray, causing various disorders.
One consequence is a disrupted distribution of
● Serotonin
● Noradrenaline
● Inhibitors (such as GABA)
● Dopamine (regulates, among other things, emotion, stress responses, sleep and appetite)
● Melatonin (sleep, immune system)
● Cytokines active in the digestive system
● adrenaline (provides drive, but also aggression), a restricted view of things (natural defence system);
● Cortisol (the stress hormone that stabilises intense reactions. Cortisol, the stress hormone that stabilises intense sensory reactions, keeps us from sleeping so that we remain alert. One of the origins of sleep deprivation.
