On ADHD

For attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, Dr K favours structuring the person's environment. The aim is not to force them to sit still for eight hours at a stretch, but to give them the tools to function in everyday life.

No medication ‘repairs’ these disorders: we learn to manage them. As far as possible, we adapt the environment and working methods.

‘Medications are temporary crutches that always have consequences.’

Our way of life and the organisation of society are not designed for everyone; in many cases, they are the source of distress and disturbances.

Adapting rather than transforming oneself.

Are you more than a diagnosis (AS or otherwise)? An individual with a soul and a mind, constantly evolving?
