64. Disorders of bodily perception
The AS's bodily perception is something very particular and little understood. One aspect is feeling things that one sees: when one sees the gesture, the feeling of being touched really has to enter awareness visually. Any physical approach must be made from the front, otherwise the delayed reaction could come as a surprise. Stress, panic, anxiety.
Another little-known aspect of bodily perception is the ability to hear and feel the activity of the organs. The heartbeat, the tiny movements of pressure and decompression in the liver, spleen, gallbladder, kidneys, intestines, the condition of the epidermis.
